Enjoyed our lunch.Would like to return to hang out at the bar.

From beginning to end - Delicious! Quaint, charming atmosphere in this local's favorite! Everything was super fresh and cooked to perfection. Even the warm bread was immersed with fresh herbs! Highly recommend this little spot!

Fantastic! One of the best meals I had during my stay on the Cape. We split a salad and the crab cakes. The crab cakes were amazing! I had the beef tips with lobster served over ravioli with an au jus with truffle oil. It was perfection! My mother had a salmon dish and said it was delicious. It was packed but our service was great!

Best place we have been to in Chatham. Interesting menu. Great service. Reasonable prices. We went 2 nights in a row.

last night was our first time we went to this place. But It is no doubt not the last time. We enjoyed the evening a lot with the courteous service, with the exceptional dishes and fine drinks and with the modest charge. We will surely come back soon.

Terrible service. Rude hippie hostess, very unaccommodating to traveling families. Food average at best. Would not recommend. They could not cram one more table in there if they tried and yet in 2019 still have the nerve to post a sign on the door to turn cell phones off while dining like it's a church? Or even an intimate place. Please. Very loud, uncomfortably close. That's comical. Unfriendly. Would not return or recommend.

Went for dinner last night at the bar... Impudent is right. Staff treats all its guests with disregard and little if any respect. Bartenders will literally talk garbage about the couple 2 spots down the bar right in front of you while you are waiting to get their attention so you can order another drink. Also the oysters are garbage... Dirty and butchered by whomever decided to shuck them blindfolded and and using only their feet and wooden spoon. All the bellies were pierced and the liquid was dumped.

Nice place. Great food.

The food is very good and it had a nice atmosphere. Our waitress was so friendly.... Until I made the mistake of taking a phone call during our time there. She scolded us and even after we apologized she could no be civil to us, even though her tip was yet to be determined. Spoiled an otherwise good evening.

Loved this charming restaurant and food. Will definitely get the bay scallops again when in season

Food and service were excellent. Cozy and charming.

Really great server and staff. Very courteous and attentive. It was pricey, but food was very tasty. Almost no options without seafood. I know it's a seafood town, but one chicken or vegetarian option as a main course meal would have been nice.

Been going here for over 20 years. Always love it.

Perfect Chatham spot. Chef Katie makes lunch time the best time

Amazing food and good service. We went in during peak lunch hour and it took them less than 30 mins to arrange a table for 7. I had the Thai sea curry which was amazing. They have a budha bowl for veg folks and a veg sandwich. Their blackened cod was also delicious.

We were lucky to snag the last seats at the bar right at 5. Met some locals and had a blast. The food was AMAZING. make a reservation or get there early it fills up fast.

Awful. Terrible customer service. Very rude hostess. Unaccommodating. In 2019 it is wholly unacceptable to to be this impolite to families. I would never recommend this even when dining as a couple for this reason. Get with the program. The inside felt like Long John Silvers. Way too crowded together. Not relaxing at all. Bumping into every Martha and Tom in Cape Cod.

Arrived at 1:00 p.m. and asked for a larger table. Was told that we couldn't get one ( the restaurant was maybe half full). Asked for separate checks because I am on a business trip. ( Radiology conference). Was told: " No, we don't issue separate checks ". These two issues were not my main concern. The manager AND the waitress rolled their eyes and I was told to " calm down". Perhaps their staff is not accustomed to diversity. I am a medical doctor and I have eaten at many fine restaurants in the past. We immediately left and went to Wild Goose Tavern down the street where we received a warm welcome. The food here is delicious!

We’ve been to this restaurant numerous times. We usually like the food and atmosphere. Our service tonight was absolutely terrible. The waitress was unbelievably rude and slammed dishes and glasses around. She checked on us but could have cared less. We’re trying to support restaurants right now as people aren’t dining out as much. Sadly we won’t be back - even when they reopen.

Heavenly fresh seafood, great local wine pairing recommendations, and fresh homemade desserts. Must start with the raw oysters and finish with dessert. We really enjoyed the blueberry pie with homemade vanilla ice cream at the end. Lost a star because lots of sand in the clams. Had to spit some of it out. Great service and everything else was fantastic!

last night was our first time we visited this magnificent restaurant. But It is definitely not the last time. We passed a splendid evening with the generous service, with the finest cooking and wine and with the modest cost. We will definitely visit there again.

Very good short rib and sole with crab. Service was excellent too

Wonderful food and hostess found a way to fit us in despite the fact that every table was booked. Worth the wait and deserving of the hype!

All time favorite. Always the finest food. Best service. Leo behind the bar just makes you feel good. Eat drink and be merry.

Fabulous as usual. Littlenecks to start, Swordfish Etouffe for entree followed by devine sea salt Carmel fudge brownie ala mode.
William Perry
The 5 of us all enjoyed what we had. Service was very good. My only concern was the lack of being able to carry on a conversation due to the noise level. Part of that is because I am partially deaf.

All the choices on the menu we six chose were superb. The service was delightful and impeccable. Preparation and presentation without peer. Why would you ever want to eat anywhere else ??

Beautiful place.the bar is a finished wooden slab that is gorgeous! I had the mussels so delicious! The clam chowder was not too thick and not too watery perfect, with plenty of clams, potatoes, and onions. Atmosphere is inviting and everyone is friendly! Great place to eat!

Wonderful seafood, excellent presentation and great service. Pricing was very much on par with others in the area.

We're on a whirlwind visit of the mid-cape, after 10 or 12 years, trying several of the places we used to frequent back then. Impudent Oyster is a little jewel of a restaurant right in the middle of Chatham, off Main Street. We picked it to have our regional lobster rolls at, and we were not disappointed. Aside from the surly busser, who accused me of hitting her, as my cane and I tried to move out of her impatient way, the experience was fine. They were very busy on a cold mid-February Saturday, and their lot remained full. After three passes, we ended up parking in the lot up Main Street, which was entirely empty. I really need to get a handicapped placard. It's now on the list.

Time capsule with incredible food. Cozy atmosphere and fantastic menu.

SUPERB restaurant with gracious and professional service, outstanding food and real value. Reservation was honored on time and the food was among the best on the Cape. The Bouillabaisse was so delicious and so generous, I had to take a picture. Among the best meals this year.

In fairness I did go during the middle of winter, which if you aren't from the area, is the off-season. I got the sense during the off season this is a bit of a townie establishment. Food was great; huge portions, pretty decent lobster roll for January (off season). Maybe not the best possible place to eat if you are visiting as a tourist, but pretty decent overall experience, I would def go again.

Amazing. Every. Single. Time. Food...oh my, those devils on horseback.... Swordfish...

We can only comment on the food we ordered and we favor seafood so that's what we ordered - it was terrific. The service was friendly, prompt and quite helpful and prices reasonable. The environment is cozy, very friendly, warm. Overall an excellent experience for us.

This place never fails to impress. They have fantastic dishes for fair pricing, there are no long waits even when they are full.

We couldn’t get a reservation, but was told to come in and try and get a seat at the bar — it has the same menu.Bartenders keep track of seating at bar and call you’re name when they can seat you. We only had to wait for about 15 minutes to sit at bar and had a drink while we waited. The food and service here was great. They bring out bread, but we started with Devils on horseback — think there was 6 scallops included — the a Caesar salad.I had the pesca fra Diablo — massive portion and loaded with seafood. Had them bring out another loaf of bread because the sauce/broth was fabulous. My fiancé had he seafood Scarlett - luckily she let me try because again great portion of seafood but the pasta and sauce was on point too. Entrees are around $35 each, but all is worth it with the portion sizes and how good everything is.

Good food and nice people.

I went here with my family and we had a fantastic meal. They are strict on getting there when your reservation is, which can be tough with all the lovely shops around. The special bouillabaisse pho style soup was a beautiful, and tasty, dinner.
